HOW TO PACK A PACKAGE
Our advice
All couriers work every day to ensure that envelopes, packages, and pallets arrive at their destination intact and on schedule. However, you are the main architect of the success of a shipment: by following our advice during the packaging of packages, you will avoid unpleasant incidents such as damage to the merchandise. Here are some suggestions!
To send a package, it is necessary to use an intact cardboard box, without holes or cuts, and adequately sturdy according to the type of goods. Some boxes, even if large, are not suitable for bearing the weight of certain items. If the packaging is not up to standard, the courier may refuse to pick it up.
Couriers are known for their professionalism and attention to each package. However, only you can prevent the breakage of fragile items by protecting them with appropriate packaging materials. If you think they could easily break, wrap them in bubble wrap or use styrofoam to reinforce the inside of the box and cushion impacts. Fill the empty spaces inside the box with crumpled paper or styrofoam chips.
Sealing the box is a very important operation: always use wide, brown, 5 cm wide packaging tape to seal all the flaps of the box. The more adhesive tape you use, the greater the strength of the package. Another important aspect is that there should be no protrusions or bulges on the package.
