Our Story
It all began in 2012 when Marco, the founder, moved from Italy, his beloved Sardinia, to London. Like many people in his situation, he had numerous questions about life in London, employment, bureaucracy, and obtaining vital documents.
Realizing that many Italians were in the same predicament, Marco started seeking answers and sharing his experiences through a support group on Facebook, initially named ‘NIN Free Service.’ The group assisted Italians in obtaining the National Insurance Number entirely free of charge, enabling them to study and work in the United Kingdom.

Our Evolution
The group has enjoyed significant success, and the demand for assistance across a wide range of topics began to grow. Italians needed support not only for obtaining the National Insurance Number but also for accommodation, employment, education, healthcare, state benefits, and more.
We realized that many people feel out of place when they arrive in the United Kingdom and need someone to listen to their concerns and understand their worries.
The Birth of Our Website
From here, an extraordinary idea was born: to create a website that provides Italians with all the essential information offered by individuals who have lived through the same experiences. This is our website, “Living in London.”
What began as a small advisory service in our free time has transformed into a full-time commitment to help, support, and encourage other Italians during their journey in the United Kingdom.
